November Goals Recap

Hello guys! Happy Friday! Wow wow wow. November was sort of a “breakthrough” month for me. I’ve really knocked on the door of my confidence this month and it looks like I had the secret password all along. I accomplished a lof this month but the main thing that I’m proud of is tackling my perfectionism when it comes to my blog. People always tell you not to worry about the numbers and they are absolutely right, but we all know thats damn near impossible to do so I won’t repeat it. What I will say is find some balance. You do need your numbers, you work hard on your blog and you want to share it with people and you want people to read it and share it so number do matter. However, numbers don’t and WON’T defiine you. Your work ethic, consistency, and how much you care about your readers define you as a blogger. Whew! Now that I’ve gone all “wax on wax off” on you guys let’s get into the recap shall we?

I met my goal on Instagram. It was small goal of 250 but that was the purpose because I still struggle with consistency over on IG. You really need to post everyday and sometimes multiple times a day to see progress. I think I tried too hard to create a “theme” on my blog so when the photo I wanted to post didn’t fit the theme I just didn’t post. That’s dumb though. I should just post what I want to post. Theme or not right? At the beginning of this month I was at 177 and now I’m riding somewhere between 275-280. Goal. Crushed. If you’re not following me on IG, hook ya girl up with a follow, I follow back!

My goal for Twitter was 800. At the time of me setting this goal I was 30 away from 400. I thought, well if I set a goal that seems impossible then maybe I’ll get super close to said goal. Ladies and gentlemen my logic was correct. Operation go grande or go home was a success. As I’m typing this my Twitter followers shot up to 722. Now that’s super lit. Thank you to everyone that gave me shout outs to help me grow. Especially Geraldine, who is a wizard at getting people to show you love. If you’re not following her then idk where you’re at in the world. Thanks Geraldine and thanks to everyone that followed me this month. I’m so glad that wer’re friends now!

I had a plan to come up with a blogging schedule and womp womp womp. That did not work out. Life got in the way when it came to my posting schedule. I actually think that I won’t be on a posting schedule until I can get a set schedule at the restaurant that I work at. My hours are just long and all over the place and that just doesn’t fit with blogging life. For now I’ll stay in the realms of what my blog is about it won’t be on specific days. At least not yet. It’s still a great idea but unrealistic for where I’m at in life right now.

Unplanned Things I Rocked This November

1. Making my Instagram more cohesive. Here’s a screenshot of what my IG was looking like at 177 and here’s what it currently looks like. I put up a better profile picture that shows my face better and also captures my personality better. I also made the covers for my IG highlights all the same. I added an About Me highlight so people can get to know me better, quicker.

2. I changed my banner on my Twitter page so that people can know exactly what I blog about as soon as they click on my page. I think it still needs some work but for now it’s cohesive to what my “brand” looks like.

3. I started my Pinterest accout and purchased a course from Ell to kick it off. If you are a blogger and you’re not using Pinterest then you are probably missing out on lots of pageviews. I want to be able to reach more people that want to read about Tarot and I think that Pinterest is probably the best place to reach that audience.

That’s all for November guys. It was an awesome month and I’m looking forward to this last month of 2018. Thank you all for coming back to hang out with me here on the blog. It means the world to me every time you click here to hang out with me! Tell me about your November goals. Did you meet them? Did you kick ass and take names? If you didn’t meet your goals that’s okay too. How close did you get? What will you do differtnly next month? Let me know in the comments below!
