Hello everyone! It feels so good to finally get back to my blog. Blogtober was a lot to acoomplish and I needed to take a little break.
Thank you to The Boozy Housewife for nominating me for this award. She even upated her post to include me so I really appreciate it. This is my second blogger award and I’ve had my blog for less than 2 months so I’m extremely grateful and I’m so amazed at how nice and support the blogging side of the internet is. Congratualtions to everyone else that was nominated for this award along with me.
The rules for the award are:
- Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog
- Write a post explaining how your blog got started
- Give 2 pieces of advice to new bloggers
- Nominate other bloggers you feel deserves some recognition
- Comment on each blog nominating them, providing the link to the post you created
Nominating 15 people is so hard. Some of the people I’ve nominated I don’t know personally I’ll be honest. However, all of us deserve recognition sometimes and it feels good that someone sees all your hard work. So if I nominated you and you don’t know me, I hope that after this we can be friends! Now let’s get into the award.
Why I started my blog
I started my blog because honestly Instagram didn’t feel like enough to be able to share my life. It felt controlled and it felt like everything I shared was judged my people with likes and comments and although Instagram is a great tool for building a blogging audience, I wanted a place that I could be authentically myself. I’m in the process of regaining my confidence and going back to being comfortable in my own skin at anytime and at any place. My blog is forcing me to do that and I also wanted to be more of a “share-er” or at least that’s what I’m calling it. I’m very reserved in terms of how much of my personal life I share with people. Obviously you want to be careful with how much you share, but I still want to be more open than I’ve ever been with people; with the world before.
My advice to othee new bloggers
My advice to other new bloggers would be be patient with yourself and with your progress. I’ve been using that as a mantra for myself as well. Remember that blogging is a slow climb but its worth it.
Another piece of advice I would give you is study your craft, read about how to grow your audience and how to build up your blog. I am a person that even if something is supposed to be fun I still want to be the best at it. Sometimes, that bites me in the ass but most of the time it fuels my ambition and I do end up being one of the best at whatever I put my mind too. Have fun with blogging, make friends from all over the world, connect with people all over the world, but don’t forget to continue to learn and study this craft.
Thanks for reading guys, I love these award tags because the questions are always so interesting and I feel like people get to learn a little more about me everytime I do one of these!
